Types
A recovering INTJ and classic Enneagram 8, I’ve learned to harness my Challenger energy to fight toxic societal and cultural expectations while advocating for those whose voices need amplifying. Most true to who I am: I’m a Questioner. And I want to help you question what truly matters most and then execute on a plan to help you achieve it.
Questioner with Rebel tendencies
“I’ll comply if you convince me why.” Questioners question all expectations, and they respond to an expectation only if they conclude that it makes sense—in essence, they meet only inner expectations. They’re motivated by reason, logic, and fairness. learn more
Enneagram 8: The Challenger (counter type)
Eights are self-confident, strong, and assertive. Protective, resourceful, straight-talking, and decisive. At their Best: self- mastering, they use their strength to improve others’ lives, becoming heroic, magnanimous, and inspiring.
My type: The Social Eight represents a contradiction: the Eight archetype rebels against social norms, but the Social Eight is oriented toward protection and loyalty, more overtly friendly, and less aggressive. They are helpful Eights-people who are nurturing, protective, and concerned with the injustices that happen to people-yet they also display an antisocial aspect with regard to the rules of society.
Social Eights are very sensitive to detecting situations in which people are being persecuted or exploited by others that hold more power; they tend to act to protect those who are less powerful. The Social Eight subtype is the most intellectual of the three, but these Eights also rebel against the dominant (patriarchal) culture. The Social Eight goes up against the power of authority out of a desire to protect the oppressed and, unconsciously, a personal need for the nurturance associated with maternal care.
Human Design: Projector
Projectors are non-energy types and make up roughly 20% of the population. Projectors are the great guides and they are here to help the other types (and particularly Generators) manage their energy. Energetically Projectors absorb and take in the other in a very focused way. They are here to be recognized and to recognize the potential in those around them. The strategy for a projector is to wait for the correct invitation. It is that invitation, the one that recognizes their unique potential, which calls out the power of the projector. When a projector tries to push the river and make life happen for them, they meet resistance and this resistance can leave them with a bitter taste.
The true goal for a projector is success, and not bitterness, but this can only be achieved when they are being recognized for who they are.
Myers’ Briggs INTJ
An Architect (INTJ) is a person with the Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging personality traits. These thoughtful tacticians love perfecting the details of life, applying creativity and rationality to everything they do. As one of the rarest personality types – and one of the most capable – Architects (INTJs) are rational and quick-witted, Architects pride themselves on their ability to think for themselves, not to mention their uncanny knack for seeing right through phoniness and hypocrisy.
Architects question everything, ever-skeptical Architects prefer to make their own discoveries. In their quest to find better ways of doing things, they aren’t afraid to break the rules or risk disapproval – in fact, they rather enjoy it. Architects want to be successful, not just inventive. They apply the full force of their insight, logic, and willpower.
